Michele Rickenbach became the Chadron State College women’s golf coach in the summer of 2003, and is excited about the upcoming season.
Rickenbach learned golf at an early age, first hitting the links in the sixth grade. She began competing on the Spearfish, S.D., high school team when she was an eighth-grader. She earned letters in golf and basketball throughout high school, and was the regional and conference golf champion as a senior. She qualified for the South Dakota state high school competition four times, and has competed in numerous women’s tournaments since.
She is a graduate of Chadron State, which did not have a golf team when she was taking undergraduate courses. Rickenbach has been employed in the CSC Registrar’s Office since 1991 and is working toward a master’s degree.
