Studies at Chadron State College! We are pleased to offer students
a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Criminal Justice or Legal Studies.
The Justice Studies Department
provides the student with instruction in Criminal Justice, Legal
Studies, and Pre-law. The programs focus on the building of knowledge
in the areas of law enforcement, juvenile justice, law, courts,
forensic sciences, corrections and paralegal from a social science
perspective to prepare students for careers in law-related fields.
» Criminal Justice -
A BA degree in criminal justice is appropriate for persons seeking
careers
or information about crime, police, law, courts, corrections,
forensics and juvenile justice.
» Legal Studies - A
BA degree in legal studies prepares students for careers as paralegals
or legal assistants, including work in law firms, government
offices, banks, trust departments, and real estate offices.
The Justice Studies program has graduates working in Federal
and State law enforcement, game and parks service, probation,
parole, institutional corrections, law offices, court administration
and with numerous federal, state and local agencies. Many students
have opted to pursue graduate studies in the areas of law, criminal
justice, political science, public administration, social work
and the human services professions.
