Vice President for Academic Affairs Staff

Dr. Lois Veath, Vice President for Academic Affairs, first arrived at CSC as an instructor of physics and chemistry in 1980. She progressed through the academic ranks to become a tenured full professor and chair of the Science Department for 10 years followed by three years of Dean of Arts and Sciences. She has also served as director of the Science and Math Learning Center, director of the CSC planetarium, and director of the Expanding Your Horizons Conference, a program for young women in Science and Mathematics. Her efforts earned her the Nebraska State College System’s Teaching Excellence Award in 1993. Veath earned a doctorate from the University of Wyoming in 1988. She and her husband, David, have three grown children, two sons who are military officers in the US Army and the US Marine Corps, and a daughter who is an attorney in Omaha.

Ms. Deb Keim has served as the assistant to the Vice Presidents for Academic Affairs for the past 30 years. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Chadron State College. She and her husband, Harv, have two grown children, a son, Casey, who earned his M.B.A. degree from Chadron State College and a daughter, Sarah Keim-Janssen, who is a doctoral student at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
